Welcome to my newsletter, which I created so we can talk about things that enrich life. These things usually have been encountered by me on the internet, by traveling, in an art gallery or through some interesting individuals. The range of topics will span from fashion to culture, good places to go, of course traveling and art. I hope this can become a blissful place to go where one can find inspiration and a positive and optimistic outlook to the world!
Let’s Talk About Glass
I love special glassware, as it can change the entire vibe of a table setting. I collected four eye-catching brands for you that produce amazing glassware, and some also offer ceramics. Maybe you are surprised, maybe you are not: Every recommendation served today is full of color and may have a Sottsass reference here or there.
Enjoy!
Boris De Beijer
Boris De Beijer originally trained as a jewelry designer; his work leans towards sculpture but also includes design. He collaborates with glassblowers from Amsterdam, and his pieces can be found in galleries and cultural institutions around the world. Here is his Instagram and website. La Soufflerie
I love the irregular shapes and colors of the glasses, and their ceramics are beautiful too. The family-owned business La Soufflerie creates products using ancient glassblowing techniques and recycled glass. They have the cutest shop in Paris, 7 rue de l’Odéon. You can also shop from their website, or in shops all over the world such as Voo Store, The Bathroom - you can find a full list here.

Reflections Copenhagen
I found this brand when looking for something completely different, and wow, I was in awe of their incredible glass- and crystalware. The colors and shapes are so beautiful and special; I imagine it looks incredible with light hitting the glass. The brand was founded in 2015 in Copenhagen by Andrea Larsson. You can buy crystals, porcelain, marble, and crystal, as well as really extraordinary mirrors and lamps. Purchase their products online online or for example from Matchesfashion or Farfetch.

Sophie Lou Jacobsen
Sophie Lou Jacobsen, a French-American designer based in New York City, founded her studio in 2019, emphasizing everyday objects using glass. I heard of this brand first since a collaboration with my forever favorite non-alcoholic aperitif brand Ghia - I love the totem glasses (top two images). Buy online or check stockists here.

I hope you love this too <3
Happy New Year, dear internet-friends.
