My dear internet friends,
happy Friday! How are we doing?
I am doing good, I did a nice shopping order last week on Luisaviaroma and sold some of my wardrobe to keep with my principles which are one in, one out in order to respect my literal space and bank balance :) A note for my readers who care more about travel - we will talk travel under the shopping section, so you can just scroll :)
If I buy new clothes, I mostly buy from luxury retailers, but I try to do that mostly during sale. I worked too long in fashion to know that I pay too much in comparison to what I get if I pay full price (also with the raise in prices, it occasionally becomes quite ridiculous): It’s either sale or vintage for me except of when I really want something, like the Christopher Esber Minette’s which are my favorite shoes which will never go into sale.
What I bought:
I love Christopher Esber as you know, heavily influenced by my beautiful friend Laura who works for the brand and always looks absolutely stunning (I did a fashion feature with her here - just beware you might want to buy a lot of Esber after). I got this beautiful bag from the brand - I don’t really have a black bag, and I love the long shape. She feels similar to the Alaïa Le Teckel bag, which however I find quite boring just because it’s been so hyped. I think Esber is a really cool and timeless brand, and will work also in years to come, so I am seeing myself trying to get one piece per season.

I love curated sales shopping lists from people whose taste I value. It’s a lot of work to go through all the sales on Net-A-Porter, Luisaviaroma, Mytheresa, SSENSE and it’s nice to get a good curation. But often times the lists from the people I like are from US-based retailers, so I won’t really shop from those lists - for example Laura Reilly’s Magasin. So I thought I’d make a list too, here is a small selection of my sales favorites which I would all buy if I could.
Net-A-Porter
Lots of SKIMS on sale
Pucci sports bra, available in XS-L
Chloé denim jacket with shearling collar, all sizes

Area short black mini dress, size L left
Beautiful white Acne mesh shirt with roses, all sizes, small availability

Christopher Esber transparent longsleeve in yellow, still availabe in UK 12

Mini orange sequin dress which looks great for weddings! Small sizes left
Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti fishnet top, size S left

I might make a bigger list or find a platform where I can stack all products with images for next time <3
What I want to watch:
Came across this and it looks great - really want to watch this movie:
Where I want to go:
I thought I’d make a compilation of all travel guides I have done since December which is when I started this newsletter, so if you haven’t seen them all, you can do now and get inspired for trips! I realized I really love writing these travel guides. It wasn’t initially part of my plan to do them to this extend, but I will now make more of this in the future, focused on content that I always look for when I travel to a new place (and usually fail to find) in city guides: A digestable amount of information with images, getting a feeling for the place, having someone who I know recommending it. I love AmiGo app, I really do, it’s been a gamechanger for my travels, but it’s still a lot of research work especially if you go to bigger travel destinations as then there are so many recommendations. Conde Nast Traveller can be good to get an idea of a place, but places are usually more on the spenny side and less on the authentic one, same thing goes for all the newspapers that I also look to for inspiration. I also have some secret sources, but also those often don’t give me what I would want in a travel guide: I love going to a city and look at it through a lens of art, food, local culture and vintage, ideally with places that have history (favorite bar of Marina Abramovic or something like that). I am a research addict, and love finding these things out.
Happy to hear if you want me to add anything to the guides, I am planning to do some serious traveling in the year to come so I can create guides that make your travel really special!
I will go to Switzerland in August (and go back to the thermal baths of Vals of course) and update the existing guides. Vienna for an art trip in October, and I would love to do a Biarritz weekend trip and stay at Villa Magnan. On the list I also got a return to Hydra, go back to New York, Rome (Palazzo Roma), Japan, which has been on my list forever. I would like to stay at Kulm in St. Moritz, I want to go to Mezzatorre in Ischia, Colombe D’Or in St. Paul de Vence, Hotel du Cap Eden Roc - well, I better stop, because this list would never end. Let’s see what happens this year!

Below you can see all travel guides I have done so far - there is Marseille, Venice & Venice Biennale special, Bordeaux & Cap Ferret, Athens, Milan, Mexico City, Basel, St. Moritz and Zuerich. Enjoy!
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Big Black Book on Marseille
Hello dear internet friends, I hope you are doing well. I just came back from almost two weeks in Marseille and when I posted on Instagram that I will write a Marseille guide, a lot of you actually texted me that you are going very soon and you are impatiently waiting for one - so I tried to make the guide fast :)
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Big Black Book on Venice
Hello my friends! I hope you are doing great. I am still in Paris, post-fashion week was good now - a bit more chill after the craziness of the past week where we also somehow never had time for dinner - one evening I had dinner at McDonalds at Gare du Nord, very special - and that in Paris. This week we prepared for our event on Saturday, had meetings, met potential new clients and hosted a picnic in the most beautiful park,
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Black Book on Bordeaux & Cap Ferret
Hello my friends, I hope life is treating you well. I just returned from a week in Puglia where I did a campaign production for one of my fashion clients. I am very thankful for our rhoya clients, who give us a lot of freedom and appreciation for hard work and I am grateful that we can always choose the teams we work with. Especially when you travel and …
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Part I of the Big Black Book Athens Food & Hotels
Hi my dear internet friends! How are you? I hope you are doing fine and are looking forward to summer! I thought I’d do another travel guide, this time about Athens. I am always so excited to write these travel guides, because they serve me as a memory of my holiday and are perfect for me to remind myself as well about what was good. So it’s a win-win sit…
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Part II Big Black Book Athens Culture, Galleries & Shopping
Hi my dear internet friends! How are you? I hope your week is going great. I am very excited to share part II with you with recommendations for culture, galleries and shopping for the wonderful city of Athens. If you haven’t read part I, here it is!
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Big Black Book on Food in Milan
Milan is one of my favorite cities. I spent two years there in the beginning of my twenties, working in a fashion agency, so being in Milan is always like a throwback and the city will always hold a special place in my heart! It’s not as pretty as Rome or Noto: It’s a place of hidden beauty. Come to the backyards, this is where the magic happens! Have you heard of the table book “Entryways of Milan” from Taschen? It’s a visual collection of all the beautiful doors in the city, and every time I look through it I feel all the Milan magic. Last time I was there I had made notes of where all the doors were from the book and went to see them - I am a real door fan.
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Big Black Book on Shopping, Museums & Galleries in Milan
This is part II of the big black book on Milan - this time focused on shopping and culture. Enjoy! I will keep updating these guides with new places, so that they will stay relevant <3 Favorite Places to Shop Officine Universelle Buly 1803 I love this shop so much! It has different locations in various cities, such as Paris, which I initially felt was a turn-off. However, it’s done so well that I got over it. They have beautiful perfumes, soaps, toothbrushes, and hairbrushes that you can personalize with initials and sometimes even colors. The perfect present. I have already given various items from this shop to friends and family. Also, their packaging is top-notch (seen on the right).
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Black Book on Best Hotels, Museums, Galleries, Markets and Shops in Mexico City
This is Part II of the Big Black Book on Mexico City which hopefully inspires you and helps to make the most of your visit (or inspires you to go :)) Favorite Hotels & Accommodation There are some incredible hotels in Mexico City. I have put my favorites below as well as sharing my budget-friendly but still really nice Airbnb. During Zona Maco it is advisable to book early, as the city is full with people visiting.
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Black Book on Best Restaurants in Mexico City
Mexico City has truly stolen my heart, I am writing these lines below while I am on my flight back and I am already missing it! I visited CDMX now twice, both times during the art fair Zona Maco at the end of January, as part of my annual winter escape from Berlin. I always leave feeling deeply inspired, not only by what I see, but also by the people I …
HOTEL AMORE Guide: Basel, Switzerland
Basel: The Swiss Art Capital As the final destination of our small road trip through Switzerland during our Christmas break, we chose Basel, arriving from our previous stop, the picturesque village of Verbier. Opting for Basel meant facing a substantial 11-hour drive back to Berlin, but with the aid of good music and coffee, it proved to be manageable.
HOTEL AMORE Guide: St. Moritz, Switzerland
Welcome to my newsletter, which I created so we can talk about things that enrich life. These things usually have been encountered by me on the internet, by traveling, in an art gallery or through some interesting individuals. The range of topics will span from fashion to culture, good places to go, of course traveling and art. I hope this can become a …
